Two weeks ago the band participated at the International Association of Firefighters Fallen Firefighters Memorial in Colorado Springs, CO. The CFD honored 3 past members; Mario Araujo, Edward Singleton & Robert Truevillian. The Chicago Fire Dept Pipes & Drums was established in May of 2007 and this year is our band's 15th Anniversary. We were established after the LODD service of Chicago Firefighter Billy Grant, where the Chicago Emerald Society proudly performed. Members of the CFD were so moved, that it was decided that the CFD should have its own band to honor its members.
