Two weeks ago the band participated at the International Association of Firefighters Fallen Firefighters Memorial in Colorado Springs, CO. The CFD honored 3 past members; Mario Araujo, Edward Singleton & Robert Truevillian. The Massed Bands for the event consisted of 10 Drum Majors, 133 Pipers, 40 Bass Drummers, 36 Tenor Drummers & 56 Snare Drummers. The CFD P&D attended with 4 members (2 pipers, 1 bass & 1 snare).

Last week we performed at Chicago Firefighters Union - Local 2 Rosehill Memorial where we remembered 111 members (Active & retired) who passed away in the last year. We were honored to perform with the Pipes & Drums of the Chicago Police Dept for this event.

Next week we leave for Emmitsburg MD for the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend. We will participate in both the Candle Light Vigil on Saturday night, as well as the Memorial Service on Sunday morning.
